Cedar & Thread
THE GOAL
Formerly known as Real Deals on Home Decor, Cedar & Thread is a small home decor and boutique shop in Granville, Ohio. They wanted to do a full rebrand and carry it through the art direction, marketing materials, photography, social media, and planned events.
THE OUTCOME
The rebrand has stood the test of time, still in use seven years later. I led the brand transformation from top to bottom, designing the new identity, crafting all marketing and advertising materials, directing seasonal shoots, planning in-store events, and managing the brand’s Instagram from 2018 to 2019.
The Project
This project was one of my earliest and most formative where I fully stepped into the role of art director, brand designer, event planner, and storyteller. I created the new logo, developed a color and type system, planned promotional campaigns, and collaborated closely with the photographer to shape the brand’s visual direction. From designing flyers and postcards to styled shoots and weekly Instagram management, every detail was crafted to celebrate Cedar & Thread’s signature blend of rustic charm and boutique polish. The brand continues to evolve, but the foundation we built still anchors every season.
