Capsule Collective
THE GOAL
Capsule Collective needed a brand that unified its vintage finds, custom embroidery, and curated gift items. My goal was to craft a warm, celebratory visual identity that felt feminine, inviting, and adaptable across shopping experiences and product offerings. In addition to designing the visual identity, I created custom embroidery graphics that bring the brand’s personality to life over the course of the last two years.
THE OUTCOME
The final brand identity features a six-color palette, a typography suite, two custom patterns, brand illustrations, pop-up signage, and thoughtful print collateral. Since launching embroidery, business grew 400% year-over-year in 2024. With every detail reflecting Mattney’s sunny spirit, Capsule Collective now shows
up with clarity, charm, and confidence.

The Project
The Capsule Collective brand was built to feel like a celebration: warm, welcoming, and rooted in nostalgia. Over the course of six weeks, I worked closely with Mattney to shape a brand that could flex across seasons, product types, and pop-up experiences. We prioritized timelessness over trend, designing a rich, versatile palette and building in vintage-inspired touches like a custom floral pattern, a textured stripe, and a bouquet icon that shows up across collateral and feels like a little surprise moment. A 50s-style script paired with a feminine serif brought in the right mix of charm and polish, while pattern icons and border details gave everything a thoughtful finish that feels uniquely her.
We brought this brand to life with a custom banner for her pop-ups, business cards to share with customers, branded clothing tags, signage throughout her experience, and marketing direction for social media.
